I will propose something for Indian breakfast (though non-Indians are advised to eat it for lunch/dinner...)
My man is from the South - so beware it will be spicy:

UPMA

Ingredients:

1 cup Rava / Sooji (Semolina, in Polish - kasza manna)
25 gms fried Cashew Nuts (optional)
1 inch Ginger chopped
1 chopped Onion
Green Chillie slit sideways
1/4 cup Green Peas frozen or fresh
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Urad Daal (zolte lentile)
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Chili powder to taste (optional)
Oil
Few curry leaves
Finely chopped coriander leaves

My way of making it: put oil in the pot, fry chopped onions along with the spices, curry leaves and mustard seeds (make them pop). When onions are golden in color, add 2 cups of water - make it boil. Then add rava (kasza manna) - simmer for a moment and keep on stirring ,while it boils on the quiet flame for about 6 min. Add coriander leaves and one tablespoon of oil.
Serve hot!
goes well with light sambar :)

Dear Deepaczku..and all other on forum..

Food is the most deliciois thing..on this earth..(I am still not sure where to place it, before or after POlish Girl, better not to talk baout it , when there are so many emancipiert girls here. :> ). Anyway, Please find here the Recipe of MADDUR VADA: Maddur is a small village like place near Bangalore. And this is a speciality form this place: There is a German Saying : LIEBE GEHT DURCH DEN MAGEN, means, LOVE FINDS ITS WAY THROUGH STOMACH..sounds little BIOLOGICAL than romantic...but perhaps with an Indian husband..that might be true..so ....enjoy this recipe all together..:-)

Ingredients:
Maida 1 cup
Rava 2 cups
2 medium onions
Baking soda 1/4 tsp.
Ghee 2 tsp.
Green chilies 4
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Maddur Vada

Method:
Finely chop onions, green chilies and coriander. Mix with salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Mix maida, rava, ghee and baking soda with the above mixture thoroughly.

Indian Cheese Pakora ( aka Paneer Pakora)

First we need to make Indian cheese.
1. Take 2 Litre of 3.2% fat milk and boil it on gas.
2. Put 1 Lime's juice into it.
3. Collect all cheese and throw alway the water.
4. Put this cheese in a cloath under weight so that it get shape.
5. Next morning and cut it into square pieces

I'll look like this.

Now we are going to make Pakora from it, those who knows how to make pakora may omitt this. It is same procedure.
1. Take 250 gms of Besan in a bowl(gram flour, you can find this on www.masala.com.pl)
2. add 1 small cup of water and make it like glue ( not much thick and not much lean, so that it can stick to cheese)
3. add salt and red chilly(if you have) in this pulp.
4. Put Pan half filled with oil and make it hot.
5. put these cheese pieces in this pulp with Besan(gram flour)
6. Now put one by one these pieces into pan to DEEP FRY.
7. Take them out when it become orange.
8. Go and eat them as appetizer.
